All About Choosing the Best Nepal Trekking Company

Through my trekking experience I have had in country, it is essential to know which standard Nepal trekking company to choose and what factors to consider before you trust one. Most of the time when you plan on a trekking trip in Nepal you visit a couple of trekking sites in the country and randomly decide on the one that looks best, without inquiring much about it.
Appearing top on a search engine does not necessarily mean that it is the best trekking company in Nepal. There are several other important things such as checking if the trekking company is registered with the government or not, is the staff of the company insured for accidents that might occur while trekking, does the company follow and practice environmental responsibility, how long it has been operating and how satisfied the previous customers are?
I have experienced that answers to these questions determine how trustworthy a Nepal trekking company will be. There are local Nepalese companies that offer these trekking services along with other international outfits as well, however needless to mention that local adventure trekking company in Nepal is cheaper compared to its counterpart.
My experience of the Annapurna region trek was a learning experience as I arranged by trek with a trekking company (local of course) after I reached Nepal. You can either join a random trek group or can also nominate your own members for a trek group, which will allow you to decide on the itinerary, dates, pace of trek, where you will stay on the way, etc. Also you can decide on how many person you want in a group.
There are were almost 1,014 TAAN (Trekking Agencies’ Association in Nepal) registered trekking companies in Nepal in 2013 when I visited the Annapurna region last, out of which a majority were in Kathmandu. Since a majority of tourists prefer the Annapurna region trek, the trekking company in Nepal Annapurna region route are more popular and many companies offer trekking facilities on that route.
Trekking company in Nepal offer lower rates in the off season compared to the high rush season of pre monsoon from March to June and post monsoon season from September to November. If you are booking your trekking trip with a company online, be sure to check its years of experience and business.
Also check for affiliations that a Nepal trekking company may have with a governmental, nongovernmental or other recognized organizations. Check if the company is licensed and registered, consider carefully the customer reviews and what facilities the company offers for trekking and at what cost.
Besides considering the important factor of choosing a trekking company for a tour, it is always good to take a small visit to the country to settle other small negotiations as well. These negotiations include settlement of prices, which can be really high at times and questioning about the guide. The guide is a very essential part of the package a trekking company offers.
Based on my personal experience I can say that until and unless you are on a real tight time schedule, booking in advance is not really necessary. These types of treks can easily be organized and managed in a very short time and you can investigate, choose and carry on with your trekking adventure in almost no time at all. Remember physical presence when choosing the Nepal trekking company is beneficial as you can negotiate on the price instantly and on hand.
Also checking the guide’s credential before you are assigned one is a good idea, as he and he alone will be the only hope you have in case something goes wrong. Ask for proof of the guides experience from the trekking company and only believe what you see and have proof for.  Following these golden rules will ensure that you find a Nepal trekking company that will enhance your life’s best trekking experience.
